Process · How It Runs

No mystery. No chaos.

The biggest fear homeowners have isn't the price — it's the unknown. Here's exactly how a Vando project runs, from the first phone call to the day we hand you the keys and the warranty paperwork.

01

The Call & Free In-Home Estimate

You reach out, we come to you within 48 hours. We measure the space, talk through what you actually want, flag anything that affects budget, and leave you with a detailed written quote. No pressure, no charge, no salesman act.

02

Straight-Talk Scope & Pricing

Your written estimate is your price. We walk every line item so you know what's included and what isn't before anyone signs. If something changes mid-project, you approve it in writing first — you'll never open a final invoice and find a surprise.

03

Permits & Prep

For additions and structural work, we handle the design coordination and the city permit process — including Torrance building department requirements — so you're not sitting on hold with a planning department. We protect floors and furnishings before demo begins.

04

One Crew, Start to Finish

The same crew that starts your project finishes it, with one point of contact the entire way. We don't hand your home off to a rotating cast of subs. You always know who's on site and who to call.

05

Daily Clean-Up

Every single work day, your home is protected and cleaned up before the crew leaves — no exceptions. You're living here; the site should feel like it. It's the promise our neighbors mention most in referrals.

06

Walk-Through & One-Year Warranty

We finish with a full walk-through, fix any punch-list items on the spot, and back our labor with a one-year workmanship warranty. Then we're a phone call away — most of our next jobs come from clients who already know how this ends.

What to Expect

Honest timelines you can plan your life around.

Kitchens run three to five weeks. Whole-home flooring, two to four days. Bathrooms and additions we scope individually — but whatever we quote, that's the schedule we work to. We'd rather set a realistic date and hit it than promise fast and disappear halfway through.

Common Questions

Before you book, you probably want to know…

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We come to your home, measure, discuss the project, and hand you a detailed written quote at no cost and with zero obligation. We only get paid if you decide to hire us.

Are you licensed and insured?

Vando Construction is a licensed and insured contractor with 12+ years serving the South Bay. We carry the proper coverage for every project we take on — ask and we'll show you.

Do you handle permits for additions?

We do. For room additions, ADUs, and structural work we manage the full permit process and city inspections, including Torrance building department requirements, so you don't have to.

Will I be dealing with different subcontractors?

No. One crew handles your project start to finish, and you get one point of contact the whole way. That's the core of how we work.

How fast can you respond to an estimate request?

We respond to estimate requests within 48 hours, and we schedule the in-home visit around your availability.
